Eat From the Ground
The #1 Ranked Diet
Sherry - 05/04/2026
There are so many diets out there! Which should I choose?
There have been many popular diets throughout the years. Some have been fad diets which have come and gone. Science and studies have shown some to be good for us and others to be harmful.
I want to touch on a few of them and then I’ll let you know which is my favorite.
Paleo
Foods to eat:
- grass-fed beef, lamb, and pork
- Salmon, trout, shellfish, etc
- Free-range poultry and pastured eggs
- Vegetables like broccoli, kale, carrots, onions, tomatoes, and more
- Nuts, seeds, healthy fats, oils, herbs, and spices
Foods to avoid:
- processed foods, sugar, soft drinks
- grains, most dairy
- artificial sweeteners, vegetable oils, margarine and trans-fats
- Pasta, bread, rice, oats, quinoa, beans, legumes, and peanuts
Basically, the Paleo diet is all about eating the way "cavemen" would eat.The way our ancestors ate way back when. The hunter / gatherer mindset.
This is just a basic look at Paleo. There are other details that make up the big picture.

Ketogenic:
Foods to eat:
- seafood - fish and shellfish, salmon
- low-carb vegetables
- cheese, yogurt, and cottage cheese
- Avocados, meat and poultry, eggs
- coconut oil, olive oil, butter, and cream
- Nuts, and seeds, berries
- Shirataki noodles, olives
- unsweetened coffee and tea (of course, Bulletproof coffee)
- Dark chocolate and cocoa powder
Foods to avoid:
- Fruit, grains and starches
- root vegetables
- grain products, legumes
- sweeteners, sweets
- vegetable oils, alcohol, sweetened drinks
- low fat dairy
- sauces and dips, and more
Basically, Keto is all about burning fat for fuel instead of burning sugar. It is a high fat, adequate protein, low carb diet, which in a medical setting is used to treat epilepsy in children, and other conditions. When you are in ketosis, your body is being forced to burn fat. This is much like the Atkin's diet.
The pro community claims you can think better, stay focused, lose weight, be stronger, and last all day without eating or feeling hungry ( well, at least 5 hours). There's plenty more good things about the Keto diet.
The con camp says there's no scientific proof that it really works. There's no long term studies. They say if you get out of ketosis, or quit this way of eating, you will gain all your weight back. It's too much red meat and saturated fats. .. among other things.
You might notice the similarities in these diets. It's important to take note of that.

Mediterranean Diet
The Mediterranean diet was inspired several years ago, by the health of the people in the uh, Mediterranean region. As you read this, compare it to the previous diets.
What you can eat:
- vegetables, fruits
- nuts, seeds, legumes, potatoes
- whole grains, breads
- herbs, spices
- fish, and seafood
- extra virgin olive oil -- all you want!
Eat a little more sparingly... poultry, eggs, cheese, and yogurt.
Eat even more sparingly ... red meat.
They say less salt and butter, more herbs, spices, and oil.
What you cannot eat:
- processed meat
- refined grains
- refined oils
- sugar-sweetened beverages, added sugars
- other processed foods
Basically, what would people in Greece eat? Their meats were lamb, some pork, mostly fish.
The interesting thing is that people who visit France, Italy, Spain, and other countries, come back to the US saying that they could eat the breads and foods there and never have digestion issues like bloating or the “bread belly”, and they didn’t get that “blah” feeling after eating. Of course, we have proven that America does not use safe food ingredients like they do in other countries. Basically, many ingredients that Americans use are totally outlawed in other countries.
Now for the true diet, the God diet, The Adam and Eve diet, the Natural diet, Sherry's diet, or whatever you want to call it.
This is my opinion. I'm opening up my heart here. This is my message, and my platform - my hashtag. When I was so sick, and I searched and read and prayed for an answer, God gave me one. He said, "Man was made from the ground, and man must eat from the ground." Very simply, this means that man is dust. Man is ashes. Man is made of soil.
The proof is shown when we die. We all decompose back into dirt. When you examine the compounds in our flesh, they are the same as what is in the dirt. Our cells are made up of minerals and vitamins, and water, of course.
The only way for us to be healthy and strong is to eat what comes from the ground. Our body knows what to do with vitamins and minerals. It knows how to process and put to use the natural nutrition we give it when we eat things that grow from the ground.
I'm not saying you have to be vegetarian. I do feel like meats should be a small portion of our daily food. But the majority of our food should be something you can pull off a tree, pick off a bush, or dig from the ground. As far as meat goes, I stress grass-fed beef, lamb, etc. That's the only way you can eat meat that is from the ground. The animals we eat must have eaten what they were designed to eat.
Basically, I preach that we should eat God-made food, and stay away from man-made food.
"the majority of our food should be something you can pull off a tree, pick off a bush, or dig from the ground."
I know in our modern world that's very hard to do. These fake foods are all around us, and are sneaked into most all the foods you find in the grocery aisles. So all we can do is try to be watchful, AKA reading the labels. The better option is to buy food that doesn't have labels, like broccoli, bell peppers, onions, corn, etc. Even better is to grow a garden and have lots of fresh nutritious foods that your body will thank you for.
As much as we may not want to acknowledge it, before we put something in our mouth, we need to ask, did God make this? If he did, then we can be sure it will be for our healing. If man made it, then we can be sure it is not for the good of our body.
So, here at the end I will let you know that the Mediterranean diet is the #1 ranked diet as far as the common or well-known diets go. The reason is because Carnivore, Paleo, Keto, and other fad diets are not as sustainable. Also they do cut out a lot of foods. The Mediterranean diet includes all the food groups IN MODERATION. It uses clean and fresh produce. The sugar content is low.
You’ll notice a common thread in all of these popular diets... Keep sugar low and avoid processed food. That is the key that makes all of these work. In my opinion, the best way to be at our best health and to live a long life is to eat the way God intended for us to eat.
Of course, I encourage you to study and read about these diets. I don't recommend just jumping on every new bandwagon that comes by. That said, I know the Paleo diet works. I know the Ketogenic diet works. I know the Carnivore diet works. FOR SOME PEOPLE. Like I said, this is personal.
The correct question should be ‘Which one is best for me?” because there's not a diet that is one size fits all. There is no one diet that everyone should follow. You’ve got to do what works for you!
PS I do recommend taking minerals every day. Many diseases come about (maybe all of them) because we don't have enough vitamins and minerals.
