Sincerely Seek out Selenium
Sherry Taylor
11/22/2025Selenium is essential for a good immune system and helps regulate inflammation. Selenium helps regulate metabolism and growth; very important for the thyroid. Selenium studies show that it helps fight cancer and other chronic diseases. Selenium protects brain health and reproductive health. Those are some of the good things - critical things - that Selenium does in the body. Now let's see what it looks like when we don't have enough of it.
It's all about the minerals
Sherry Taylor
11/22/2025In my opinion, minerals are the most important thing for our bodies to take in. Most people know about electrolytes. There are 7 essential electrolytes: Bicarbonate, Calcium, Chloride, Magnesium, Phosphate, Potassium, and Sodium. Our bodies are electrical, and they must be balanced in all systems or there will be problems and symptoms showing up. If the body is too depleted in these minerals, it can even be fatal.
Get out and get your vitamin D
Sherry Taylor
11/22/2025Vitamin D3 is essential for the proper absorption of calcium and phosphorus to maintain strong bones and teeth. It supports the breaking down and rebuilding of bone tissue. Vitamin D is also important for muscle function and nerve transmission. Vitamin D supports the immune system, mood regulation and cardiovascular health. You can see just by these three functions how important vitamin D is. I could say more, but you get the idea.
The Good for You M&M's
Sherry
11/26/2025We definitely need the M&M! Two minerals- one well-known, and the other not so much: Magnesium, which is needed for proper function of muscles, the immune system, the heartbeat, and more; and Manganese, which is so important for enzyme processes, metabolism, bone health, reproduction, blood clotting, and more. These both are critical for a healthy body.
Take Control of Your Blood Sugar
Sherry
11/26/2025Balancing blood sugar is critically important for good health. Consuming too much sugar starts a cascade of bad side effects. The sugar that our bodies don't burn for fuel end up being sent to our extra storage building, AKA fat cells. Nobody wants that! Stick with complex carbs which turn to sugar much slower and are more apt to be used for fuel.
